the staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was very good with cooked freshly baked rolls, great coffee, meat. location: the hotel was just next door to the lakeside on a sunny day, and the shores of the lake. ate at tancredi restaurant, it's a 10-15 minute walking distance from the venue.

Lovely location on the lake-shore. We were given a 'chalet' separate from the hotel and the dog loved it! A short 15 minute walk into the town centre. A very pleasant ambiance for a relaxing holiday.

The concierge was very pleasant and attentive. We had a room with a small balcony from which we could see Lake Garda. The room was very basic but included all the necessary ammenities. We were very happy about the free on-site parking. Historic Sirmione is a very pleasant 10 - 15 min. Walk from Hotel Saviola. The closer you get to the historic section the more congested the traffic becomes. There are paying lots outside the historic part but they seemed to fill up quickly. Personally I wouldn't prefer to drive inside the historic section. The streets are very small and even in September on a weekday the town was packed with people.
Breakfast was typical of Italian hotels--pastries, rolls, cheese, cold ham, and a small selection of cold cereals. The pastries were a bit stale but the coffee was good. There was no elevator which was not a problem for me and my husband but it was a liitle difficult for my parents who are in their early 70s. I would recommend Hotel Saviola to those who plan to visit Sirmione and are seeking a clean, reasonably comfortable but no frills hotel.

The manager, Pasquale, was exceptionally gracious, and seems to be around most of the time! This is a basic hotel. The room was very clean, the bed relatively comfortable. We paid 20e more for a balcony room and we enjoyed sitting on it in the afternoon. It is very nice to sit on the lounge chairs and look at the lake. Breakfast was more than adequate for a very standard European cold buffet. Nice, fresh rolls, packaged biscuits and such, fresh platters of ham, deli meats, and cheese, cold cereal, yogurt, etc. Nice fresh coffee and hot milk were enjoyable.
We primarily enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Saviola and even opted to stay a second night. Any negatives are picky. This is a budget hotel in a very pricey area. If you are looking for luxury accomodations you can pay 600e and move down the street to a 5 star! One caveat is the lake access itself. You need beach shoes! The lake is very shallow and there are lots of pebbles and slimy goo. A lot of the other guests seemed to be prepared for this and had wading shoes and floatie air mattresses, etc. to play with. Children seemed to really enjoy the area. The lounge chairs were showing their age and are of the white plastic variety. However, for the price... A decent value. When you read reviews that say to ask for a lake-view room, be warned that it is not the "deal" price room that you get through this website. Again, Pasquale was molto gentile and very professional. I would recommend this hotel to my Italian friends. Thank you, Pasquale!

Great lakeside view. Lovely private beach and fantastic to swim in Lake Garda. Very helpful staff - all information on trips provided. Cheaper then hotels in the town but still quite pricey. Only 10-15 stroll into town. Good wine shop on route. Quite location and near to bus stop.
Breakfast ok but not exciting for choices.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms. Quiet air conditioning.
Needs upgrading. The rooms are 1950-ish Holiday Inns without the carpets. Our room number 43 had a tiny bathroom with a hip bath shower that a circus dwarf would find adequate.
